News Update: Mohave Valley, AZ: Single family residential structure fire on Plantation Way near Vacation Drive.

Mohave Valley, Arizona: Firefighters for multiple fire department agencies responded on Friday, June 19th, 2020 to a single family residential structure on Plantation Way near Vacation Drive.

Firefighters received the call of a fire to a single family residential structure fire on the 10400 block of Plantation Road at around 6:50 p.m. PT.

Firefighters from Mohave Valley Fire Department, San Bernardino County Fire Department and Fort Mojave Mesa Fire Department responsed to the scene.

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office as well as Fort Mojave Tribal Police Department also responsed to the scene and closed of the streets in the area.

Firefighters put out the flames from inside the home, and kept the fire contained to the property away from other nearby residents.

According to Fire Marshal Don Gibson with the Mohave Valley Fire Department, there are no injuries reported but the resident lost three pets and the home is a total lost.

ZachNews has learned that the residents of the home were preparing for an upcoming birthday gathering before the fire occurred.

Earlier, a man was seen with paramedics inside a nearby ambulance just down the street from the fire.

According to Fire Marshal Don Gibson with the Mohave Valley Fire Department, the person inside the ambulance had some minor scratches that he received from trying to recover his aminals from the home.

As of 9:50 p.m. PT, firefighters were finishing up mopping up and investigating the scene of the fire,, and nearby streets have been reopened.

According to Fire Marshal Don Gibson with the Mohave Valley Fire Department, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
