Golden Valley, Arizona: The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has released information regarding a fatal vehicle collision on Estrella Road that occurred on Sunday, June 14th, 2020.
According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday (6/14) at approximately 12 PM, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a single vehicle collision on Estrella Road near McElmo Dr. Deputies arrived on scene and began the collision investigation, which found that the vehicle was traveling north bound on Estrella Road at approximately 60 MPH.
The vehicle travelled through a dip in the road and drifted to the right. The driver then over-corrected to the left, causing it to rotate counter clockwise.
The vehicle eventually left the roadway and rolled one time, landing up right. The driver, Stanton Taylor Edwards, 64 of Golden Valley, was pronounced deceased on scene.
The 16 year old male passenger was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center for minor injuries sustained during the collision.
The investigation revealed no seat belts were worn during the time of the collision.
This investigation is ongoing.
