Downtown Lake Havasu City, Arizona: A Black Lives Matter March and Protest will be held on Saturday, June 6th, 2020.
According to the post via Facebook, the plan is to meet at 6:30 a.m. at Smith’s Food and Drugs near Acome Boulevard and will start marching at 7:00 a.m. PT, all the way down McCullouch Boulevard to the intersection just above the bridge.
We will stand there at the corners of the intersection either until 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., or as long as you’d like to stay.
There will be a few check points along the way to stop for water and we will be kneeling every hour on the hour for 8 minutes and 46 seconds.
Although water will be provided it is wise to bring your own as well as other supplies you will likely need. Sunscreen, something to cover your knee with for when we kneel, comfortable shoes with ankle support, a hat, sunglass, and possibly even consider an umbrella to shade yourself – it’s going to be very hot.
Above all, REMAIN PEACEFUL! You no longer represent yourself, you now represent a movement and we will treat that with respect. If you see anyone on our side acting out, seek the police or myself and I will do what I can.
