Needles, CA: Deputies arrest a man for grand theft auto and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Needles, California: Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station arrested a man for grand theft auto and possession of a stolen vehicle.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, on Friday May 29, 2020 at 1:44 pm, deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department were dispatched to assist Mohave County Sheriff’s Department (MCSO) for an area check for a stolen vehicle.

The vehicle theft had just occurred in the 10000 block of Harbor Ave in Mohave Valley, Arizona.

The vehicle was last seen traveling towards Needles on Hwy 95 driven by a white male adult wearing a white t-shirt.

At approximately 3:11 pm an unoccupied vehicle matching the description was located parked on the 2400 block of Needles Hwy behind a business.

Iaan Michael Lee a 34 year old male of Roanoke, Virginia was loc ated inside the business and after an investigation, was identified as the suspect in the vehicle theft.

Lee was taken into custody and booked into the Needles jail for V.C. 10851 Grand Theft Auto / P.C. 496 Possession of Stolen Property.

In compliance with the statewide Emergency Bail Schedule, issued by the California Judicial Council, bail for most misdemeanor and felony offenses must be set at $0.

Because of this criteria, Lee was released pending a later court date.
