People gathered at Community Park to honor and remember all who’ve all gave the ultimate sacrifice well serving in our armed forces; protecting freedom and lives from those who want to destroy them.

Commander Tom Bateman, who served in combat in the Middle East, and Chaplain Darnell, a Vietnam veteran, spoke during the ceremony.

Chaplain Darnell spoke about his time serving for his country and what Memorial Day means for our country.

Afterwards, breakfast was served inside the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6306 and Auxiliary.

Thanks to all who bravely served our country in our armed forces, sacrificing so much to protect freedoms and lives.
