Needles, California: According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at about 7:03 p.m. PT on Thursday, January 9th, 2020, deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to a domestic violence call in the 1500 block of Lillyhill Drive in Needles, California.
When deputies arrived and contacted the victim, the suspect, later identified as 29 years old Rustin Hill from Needles, ran into his residence and barricaded himself inside.
The victim reported she was assaulted by her boyfriend, Rustin Hill and forced out of a residence against her will.
The victim ran to a near-by apartment for help where she was dragged-out of that apartment by the suspect.
Numerous attempts were made to get Hill to exit the residence.
The Sheriff’s Specialized Enforcement Division (SWAT) was enoute to the scene when the suspect finally responded to the repeated announcements and exited the residence without incident.
ZachNews received this picture from from the scene after noticing all of the police activity going on in the neighborhood.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, Hill was arrested and booked into the Colorado River Station jail for PC 207 Kidnapping and PC273.5(a) Spousal Abuse.
Hill is being held on $50,000.00 bail pending a court hearing.
