Downtown Needles, CA: Traffic stop of a stolen vehicle by deputies leads to the driver being arrested for a no bail warrant from Nevada.

Downtown Needles, California: According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at 11:18 p.m. PT on Thursday, January 9th, 2020, deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department located a stolen vehicle driving on the westbound I-40 exiting at the J Street off ramp and a traffic stop was conducted.

The driver, 49 years old Shane Brown from Mohave Valley, Arizona and passenger, 29 years old Tiffany Kebschull from Mohave Valley, Arizona were detained.

Through the investigation, it was determined that Brown was driving the vehicle without the owner’s permission.

Brown was questioned and subsequently arrested and booked into Colorado River Station jail for VC10851(a) Vehicle Theft with a bail of $50,000.00.

Additionally, Brown was a fugitive from Nevada with a no bail warrant for illegally possessing a firearm. Brown is currently awaiting a court hearing.

Kelschutt was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine and numerous syringes.

Kebschull was booked into the Colorado River Station Jail where she was issued a citation and later released.
