Needles, CA: Deputies arrested a man from Mohave Valley, Arizona for unauthorized communication with prisoners.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, 56 year old Kevin Wambold from Mohave Valley, Arizona was seen by staff members of the Colorado River Station, located at 1111 Bailey Avenue in Needles, California, communicating with sentenced inmates through the fence of a secured area.
Deputies of the Colorado River Station were immediately notified and checked the area for Wambold who was located walking away from the secured area.
During the investigation it was determined Wambold provided contriband to the sentenced inmates.
Wambold was arrested and booked into the Colorado River Station Jail on the charge of PC 4570, Unauthorized communication with prisoners.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department wants to remind the members of the community that any communication or contact with imates incarcerated at the Coloroado River Station Jail is illegal.
Those found to be in violation will be subject to arrest and prosecution.
