Downtown Needles, CA: Spirit of giving, joy and Jesus delivered to community during Set Free Church of Needles’ 8th Annual Christmas Toy Store and Bicycle Giveaway.

The spirit of giving, joy and Jesus delivered to the community during Set Free Church of Needles’ 8th Annual Christmas Toy Store and Bicycle Giveaway held on Sunday, December 22nd, 2019 inside the El Garces Train Depot in Downtown Needles, California.

Families and their children packed the large room to hear the wonderful music by the Set Free Band and the Story of Christmas by Pastor Marty.

The service was broadcast live at ZachNews on Facebook.

after the service a large room with tables of toys and rolls of bicycles awaited parents to pick 3 toys for each of their children.

Well the parents were picking out toys, their children were meeting and taking pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

As the families left the event, ham with all the fixings awaited them; giving dinners that bring people together.

ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary Lopez spoke with Pastor Martin Souter and his wife Cheree Souter from Set Free Church of Needles about the event and the many events that have been happening in the last few days in our community; a small community with lots of love and care.

There was 150 ham dinners that were giving out thanks to the Aquarius Casino Resort, 4 pallets of new toys from the Marine base in Barstow, additional new toys from The Healing Center in Needles, and the new bicycles were purchased by Set Free Church of Needles thanks to ‘Blessings’ from the community; work that is done around the community by its members which funds raised go towards the purchasing of these new bicycles.

River Valley Southern Baptist and Arizona Southern Baptist also helped out with the event, and the City of Needles for alloeing their church to use the El Garces Train Depot building for the event.
