The Needles Unified School District delivered 80 turkeys to local families of students in Needles, California on Friday, December 20th, 2019 as part of the Needles Unified School District’s Holiday Basket Program.
Needles Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Mary McNeil and her husband Jon McNeil along with principals, teachers, staff, administrators, board member and family members for the Needles Unified School District picked up the turkeys and bags filled of dinner fixings from the Saint Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Downtown Needles, California, and scattered in groups to passed out the turkey dinners.

The turkeys and dinner fixings all came from various donators, including the turkeys that were donated by the Avi Resort and Casino in Laughlin, Nevada, and this act of giving of turkeys and dinner fixings brings joy and families coming together for the Christmas holidays.
Needles Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Mary McNeil thanked everybody who participated in the passing out of the turkey dinners, all of those who donated and to Joyce Daniels with Saint Vincent de Paul for her help in making this happen.
