Students and faculty from Needles Community Day School prepared and gave out gift bags with warm blankets to several homeless people in Downtown Needles, California on Wednesday, December 18th, 2019.

Participating in the act of kindness was San Bernardino County Probation Department Officer Rachel Mursick, who let ZachNews know about what students were doing to help homeless people in our community.

ZachNews captured on camera these pictures of the students walking around searching for homeless people, and giving them the gift bags which included a nice warm blanket, personal hygiene supplies and food with a nice made card with a nice message for the Christmas holiday.

Dr. Mary McNeil, Needles Unified School District Superintendent, stopped by Santa Fe Park as students gave the last gift bag out, and told the students how proud she and the school district is for the students and faculty at Needles Community Day School for giving and caring about people in the community who are homeless.

Great work to all of the students and faculty, and thanks to San Bernardino County Probation Department Officer Rachel Mursick for letting ZachNews know about this act of kindness and giving.
