Needles, CA: Deputies arrested wanted suspects in stolen vehicle.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at around 1:23 a.m. PT on Tuesday, December 10th, 2019, deputies located a blue Chevy truck on J Street near Bailey Avenue in Needles, California.

The truck had been reported stolen and deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Coronado and El Monte Streets.

The driver, identified by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station as 23 year old Mariah Hernandez from Needles, was taken into custody without incident.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, 32 year old Gabriel Moore from Apple Valley, the passenger ran from the vehicle.

Moore was captured moments later and taken into custody.

Both suspects had outstanding felony warrants.

During the investigation deputies also lo cated an illegally possessed loaded firearm belonging to Gabriel Moore.

Both suspects were arrested and charged with CVC 10851(a), possession of a stolen vehicle. Moore was also charged with PC29800(a)(1), felon in possession of a loaded firearm and a no bail warrant for violation of the terms of his Post Release Community Supervision.

Both suspects were booked at the Needles Jail.
