News Update!!: Needles, CA: Identity of driver released in fatal crash off Interstate 40 near California Avenue.

The California Highway Patrol has released the identity of the driver in the fatal crash off eastbound Interstate 40 near California Avenue in Needles, California on Wednesday, December 4th, 2019.

The California Highway Patrol confirms in a press release the driver’s identity is Blake William Ingraham from Lake Havasu City, Arizona, no age given, who was driving a 1992 Jeep.

In the recent news release regarding the fatal crash, the California Highway Patrol said, “On 12/4/19 at approximately 1300 hours, Party #1 (Blake William Ingraham) was westbound on Interstate 40 near milepost 141, operating a 1992 Jeep Cherokee. The weather was rain at that time. For reasons unknown, Party #1 allowed his vehicle to drift off of the roadway and into the dirt center median, where the vehicle rolled over and crossed into the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40. His vehicle continued onto the south road shoulder where it then struck the guardrail, traveled over the guardrail and rolled over again before coming to rest on its roof up against a tree. Party #1 sustained fatal injuries as a result of this collision, Party #1 was wearing his seatbelt during the collision.”

Overnight, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Corner Division released the following previous news release regarding the fatal crash, “On Wednesday, December 04, 2019, at 4:07 P.M., a 1992 Jeep Cherokee was found on its roof, in a stand of trees, on the side of the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 in Needles. Emergency personnel responded to find the driver of the Jeep Cherokee dead at the scene. The vehicle was apparently traveling westbound on Interstate 40 when for reasons unknown, the Cherokee crossed the center divider and went off the roadway coming to rest on its roof. The decedent is believed to be a 21 year old male resident of Lake Havasu Arizona.”

“The Needles office of the California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.”
