Lake Havasu City, AZ: Deceased male found near a business identified as the investigation continues.

According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, detectives are continuing to investigate the incident of a deceased male subject found floating face down in Lake Havasu near a business in the 1300 block of McCulloch Blvd in Lake Havasu City, Arizona on Saturday, October 5th, 2019.

Fingerprints from the deceased male subject were obtained during autopsy and sent to Homeland Security for analysis and identification.

On Friday, November 8th, 2019, detectives were notified that the fingerprints belonged to 52 year old Hyok Kyo Chong of California.

Further investigation revealed that Chong had been reported missing out of Los Angeles, California by family.

Next of kin was notified of the findings.

No obvious signs of trauma or foul play were observed and the cause of death is still under investigation.

This investigation is ongoing.
