Downtown Needles, CA: Teenage burglary suspect arrested after evading deputies while driving a stolen car.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at 10:11 p.m. PT on Saturday, November 9th, 2019, deputies located a stolen vehicle driving in the area of Broadway Street and G Street in Downtown Needles, California.

Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle and the juvenile driver sped away.

The vehicle became disabled while trying to evade the deputies and the driver was arrested without further incident.

The suspect, a 16 year old male from Beaumont, California who’s name was withheld by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, was also found to have an outstanding Riverside County, California warrant for burglary.

He was charged with possession of stolen property and evading arrest.

He was taken to the High Desert Juvenile Detention and Assessment Center in Apple Valley.

He is being held without bail, as is standard for juvenile offenders.
