News Alert!!: Mohave County, AZ: Second Amendment Sanctuary County to be voted on during Mohave County Board of Supervisors Meeting on Monday.

Mohave County Board of Supervisors will be discussing and possibly voting at their meeting on Monday, November 4th, 2019 to become a Second Amendment Sanctuary County in Mohave County, Arizona.

The meeting will start at 9:30 a.m. MT at 700 West Beale Street in Kingman Arizona.

According to the agenda packet from Mohave County, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors at their meeting on Monday, August 5th, 2019 voted unanimously to adopted Resolution No. 2019-086 supporting the City of Needles, California, in declaring their city a “Second Amendment Sanctuary City.”

There is a growing trend across the country with local jurisdictions resolving to become 2nd Amendment Sanctuary Cities and Counties.

Discussions with Doug Schuster, Mohave County Sheriff have also indicated that law enforcement is in support of this resolution.

The establishment of a Sanctuary County is a movement that we are seeing local jurisdictions implement country-wide, the majority of which are intent on protecting the rights granted by the United States Constitution, specifically the Second Amendment.

A draft resolution has been prepared for discussion purposes.

Recommended motion, determination of the Board’s position on becoming a Sanctuary County, discussion of the draft resolution, if necessary, and provide direction to staff.
