ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary Lopez was out around the community checking out several events held Halloween night.
ZachNews began with deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station as they held their 1st Annual Trunk-or-Treat on J Street in the parking lot of the Needles Recreation Center.
Families crowded the parking lot where kids got to receive free candy from deputies well under the pop-up tent, more free treats including hot dogs and juice were given out by deputies, caption and by McGruff the Crime Dog.
Later, Baker Emergency Medical Service as well as San Bernardino County Probation Department arrived and began giving out candy as well.
A large attendance of people happy and enjoying not only the sweet treats, but getting to know their local deputies who go out to protect and serve their community daily; a great way to interact and know their community.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station tweeted moments ago on Twitter that the event was, “Lots of fun meeting with the local community,” and thanked those that made the event possible; Operation Juice Box, Teamsters Local 1932, Rite Aid, Safeway, Target, Sams Club, Harter Farms and Robinson Electric for helping in this event.

ZachNews was off again to the next Halloween night event, passing through the Vista neighborhood area of Needles, California where families of kids were seen stopping by homes, like the home of Charles Kemp on the corner of Luna Vista and Parkway, spooking kids with scary decorations and sweet treats.
Each year, the Vista neighborhood area is the spot for kids to get bags of candy, enjoying a nice walk around the neighborhood for sweet treats.
ZachNews continued on towards Downtown Needles, California for Firehouse Ministries and Isabel’s Pantry’s Blessed and Treats, held in the parking lot near the corner of West Broadway and F Street.
Families were welcomed by members with Firehouse Ministries and Isabel’s Pantry with big bags of candy, balloons, glow sticks, and hot coffee and cocoa.

Members of Set Free Church of Needles talked to ZachNews about the No Fear Mystery Mansion as well as their church, located at 404 F Street.
In a day, members of Set Free Church of Needles transform the empty lower floor of the El Garces Train Depot into a scary haunted mansion, all free and open to all who dared to enter.
ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary Lopez brought the camera inside to show you the No Fear Mystery Mansion.
Amazing inside and great work by members at Set Free Church of Needles, especially for putting just together a scary mansion, with a message of Jesus, all inside an historic building, the old Harvey House.
Overall, a great night for the community, more events happening for Halloween then in past years; a community working together to bring people together, with a little bit of spook and treats.
Thanks to everybody who advanced notified ZachNews of their events, and hope that they all continue to have these events for Halloween nights to come.
