Needles, CA: Come to the 43rd Annual Fort Mojave Indian Days celebration happening tonight and Friday.
The Fort Mojave Indian Tribe will be having their 43rd Annual Fort Mojave Indian Days celebration and parade being held on Friday, October 25th, 2019 and Saturday, October 26th, 2019.
The celebration is free and opened to the public, to learn and celebrate the history, customs and traditions of the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe.
Many of the activities and entertainment will be held in the California Village area at 500 Merriman Avenue in Needles, California, except for the golf tournament that’s being held at Mojave Resort Golf Course, located at 9905 Aha Macav Parkway in Laughlin, Nevada and the annual parade held in Downtown Needles, California.
Some of the activities and entertainment included royalty pageant; baby pageant; men’s bird singing and women’s bird dancing contests; culture workshops; frybread eating contest; nature walk; and tournaments for youth male shinny, wahoo, golf, tug-o-war, horseshoes and peon.
The parade will start at 10:00 a.m. PT on Saturday along West Broadway, between J Street and D Street, in Downtown Needles, California.
Each year the parade is very well-attended so arrive early, and be prepared for street closures along the parade route.
The parade on Saturday for Fort Mojave Indian Days will be broadcast live at ZachNews on Facebook starting at 10:00 a.m. PT.
