An interesting presentation and discussion regarding the new football stadium and mixed-use projects in Inglewood, California was held during a luncheon and keynote speaker presentation event on Tuesday, September 17th, 2019 at the International Council of Shopping Centers’ Western Conference and Deal Making 2019 in Downtown Los Angeles, California.
ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary Lopez was in attendance as the keynote speakers talked about the L.A. Stadium and Entertainment District at Hollywood Park presentation about one of the largest stadium and mixed-use projects in the United State right now.
Keynote speakers Jason Gannon, Managing Director, LA Stadium and Entertainment District at Hollywood Park; Will Heidel, Development and Leasing, Wilson Meany; David Jurenka, Senior Vice President, Digital Media and Business Operations, NFL Media; and Andrew Turf, Senior Vice President, CBRE all spoke with Tom McGee, President and CEO, ICSC during the event about the new home for the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers football teams as well as the project as a whole, what this project means for the community.
The 298-acre LA Stadium and Entertainment District at Hollywood Park (LASED), on the site of an old horse racing track named Hollywood Park in Inglewood, California, will be home to the National Football League’ Rams and Chargers, Super Bowl LVI in 2022, and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 2028 Olympics.
The district will feature more than 1.5 million square feet of retail and office space, 2,500 residences, a hotel, and more than 20 acres of parks.
