Needles, CA: Deputies arrested a mother for child endangerment after she overdosed while caring for her child.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, on Sunday, September 8th, 2019, deputies were dispatched to the 900 block of Coronado Street in Needles for a report of a possible drug overdose.
Deputies contacted the mother, identified by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station as 25 year old Danielle Pope from Yucca Valley, California, at the scene.
Investigation revealed Pope was under the influence of a controlled substance while she was caring for her child.
Pope was transported to the Colorado River Medical Center for treatment.
When she was released from the hospital she was arrested for child endangerment and booked into the Needles jail.
She is being held on $25,000 bail.
