Desert Hills, AZ: Deputy from Mohave County Sheriff’s Office who responded to a UTV rollover suffered a heat related illness.
According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 10:00 a.m. PT on Saturday, September 7th, 2019, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the sandy desert area south of Desert Hills for a report of a UTV roll over. The Lake Havasu City Police and Fire Departments also responded.
While on scene, hiking up a large sand hill to the area of the roll over, a Deputy with The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Office who is assigned to the Lake Havasu City area, began to suffer from a medical episode.
The Deputy was evaluated by on scene medical personnel, and transported to the Havasu Regional Medical Center. It was determined that the Deputy suffered from a heat related illness. He was treated and released from the hospital.
The roll over was within city limits and the investigation was handled by the Lake Havasu City Police Department.
