Oatman, AZ: Explosive devices found in a home of man who recently passed away.
In a public post on their official Facebook page on Thursday, August 15th, 2019, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office provided information regarding explosive devices found in a home of man who recently passed away.
According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, approximately 11:48 a.m. PT on Monday, August 12th, 2019, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center was contacted by a male subject in regards to possible explosive devices found in a residence on Pyramid Road in Oatman, Arizona.
Deputies responded and made contact with the male subject, who advised he was cleaning out his father’s residence, as he had recently passed away.
The man further advised that he located what looked to be several pipe bombs in the residence.
Deputies confirmed the devices and contacted Bullhead City Police Department and Kingman Police Department’s Explosive Ordinance Division (EOD) who responded to the residence.
The devices were secured by the EOD and taken to a desert area to be properly disposed of.
The name of the man and his deceased dad weren’t released publicly by authorities.
