Mohave Valley, AZ: Mohave Valley Fire Department celebrates their 50 years of service with the community.

The Mohave Valley Fire Department celebrated their 50 years of service with the community on Saturday, August 10th, 2019 at Station 81 on Willow Drive in Mohave Valley, Arizona.

The celebration had firefighter obstacle courses for the kids and fire engines to get to climb inside as well as a bounce house, Cornhole games and water sponge toss game which both kids and adults had fun getting the fire chief wet.

There are also free hot dogs, popcorn, watermelon, Ice tea and lemonade to enjoy and shirts celebrating 50 years of service to the community that you could purchase, which all proceeds from the shirts sales go to the Christmas for Kids Program.

The day of celebrating had the community congratulating and thanking all of the brave firefighters, paramedics and fire personnel who rush to save lives in medical situations and rush towards dangerous fires to protect the community, including helping neighboring communities when they’re in need of assistance.

During the celebration, a call of a brush fire along Interstate 40 in Needles, California had firefighters putting down the cold lemonade to gear up to help neighboring San Bernardino County Fire Department in putting out a brush fire.

ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary Lopez captured on camera as firefighters inside their fire engine went code down the street, heading into the heat to the brush fire call.

Days ago, firefighters at Mohave Valley Fire Department headed into a storm to put out brush fires near the Colorado River that were sparked by lightning strikes.

No matter what they’re doing or the weather conditions outside, firefighters like at Mohave Valley Fire Department’s Station 81 are ready to service.

Dedication to all of our communities and bravery through the toughest and even dangerous conditions, the Mohave Valley Fire Department continue to serve the community with pride and care, keeping lives and our communities safe.

We congratulate and thank you all Mohave Valley Fire Department for your service to the community.
