Live Weather Update!!: Colorado River Tri-State: Scattered thunderstorms moved out of area as Flash Flood Warnings and Flood Advisory expired.

Scattered thunderstorms moved across desert communities in the Colorado River Tri-State area on Wednesday, August 7th, 2019.

After 4:00 p.m. PT, moderate to heavy rain along with thunder, lightning and gusty winds began to show up on the weather radars in the areas of Twentynine Palms, California; Amboy, California; Needles, California and Searchlight, Nevada.

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada issued several Flash Flood Warning as well as Flood Advisory as the thunderstorms continues across San Bernardino County, California and towards Nevada and Arizona.

Reports of rain, thunder and lightning near Parker, Arizona and dust blowing near Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Dusty winds along with rain, thunder and lightning began to appear in Needles, California and in Mohave Valley, Arizona.

ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary Lopez was broadcasting live on Facebook as lightning began flashing to the east near the Colorado River in Mohave Valley, Arizona.

At least two lightning strikes hit an vegetation area near Mohave Valley Drive, three miles southeast of South Lake Road, sparking two vegetation fires.

Mohave Valley Fire Department as well as the Bureau of Land Management responded to the scene of the vegetation fire after receiving reports.

Firefighters worked on putting out an flames and kept monitoring the situation throughout the afternoon and into the evening.

By 7:00 p.m. PT, smoke from the vegetation fires could be seen to the east of Needles, California.

By 7:30 p.m. PT, no more smoke from the vegetation fires could be seen to the east of Needles, California.

Reports of traffic signals out at Needles Highway and West Broadway in Needles, California and power outage as well as a traffic accident in Arizona came into ZachNews during the thunderstorms.

According to Don Gibson with the Mohave Valley Fire Department, a vehicle accident occurred on Arizona State Route 95 between Willow Valley liquor and King Street.

At least three patients, minor injuries, were transported by Baker Emergency Medical Service to a local hospital.

As the thunderstorms continue to move out the area, water flowing down the Sacramento Wash and reports of street flooding in Golden Valley, Arizona.

All the thunderstorms have since moved out of the area and all of the Flash Flood Warnings and Flood Advisory issued by the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada have since expired.

Thank you to all of the emergency crews who were out there in the thunderstorms today responding to emergency and fire calls.
