There has been a shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival 2019 in Gilroy, California.
The shooting occurred at around 6:00 p.m. PT on Sunday, July 28th, 2019 in the place on north side of the festival.

At this moment, at least 3 people are dead, including a 6 year old boy, and 11 people were shot.
Multiple fire, ambulance and law enforcement units have responded to the scene.
According to a hospital spokeswoman at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, at least 5 people have been hospitalized, but no information on their conditions were provided at this moment.
According to the Gilroy Police Department Chief Scot Smithee, officers were in the area and engaged with with the suspect who had a rifle.
The suspect got inside the event through the creek and used an unknown tool to cut into the fence.

Senator Kamala Harris says her office is monitoring the situation, and said in a statement, “Grateful to first responders who are on the scene in Gilroy and keeping those injured by such senseless violence in my thoughts. My office is closely monitoring the situation.”
