Live Weather Alert!!: Twentynine Palms, CA: Flash Flood Warning!!

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada has issued a Flash Flood Warning for the Twentynine Palms, California area.

This is the twitter post from the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada regarding the Flash Flood Warning issued until 6:00 p.m. PT on Monday, July 22nd, 2019.

This is the weather radar from the National Weather Service from Las Vegas, Arizona of the storm causing the warning to be issued.

As of 3:15 p.m. PT, the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada is reporting that the eastbound lane of California State Highway 62 is flooded at Copper Mountain Road.

As of 3:22 p.m. PT, the California Highway Patrol may be doing a “hard closure” along California State Route 62 at White Feather Road.

At 4:25 p.m. PT, the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada said that thunderstorms have dissipated between Joshua Tree, California and Twentynine Palms, California, but flooding and debris reported along California State Route 62 will likely continue to hamper travel.

The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 6:00 p.m. PT on Monday, July 22nd, 2019.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Morongo Basin Station has posted this picture of traffic moving both eastbound and westbound directions along California State Route 62 near Hendy Road.

Motorists are being asked to please use caution while driving, lots of debris left on the roadways.

Also, give yourself extra time to arrive safely to your destination.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Morongo Basin Station, traffic is being diverted at Indian Cove and California State Route 62 for a traffic accident.

As of 4:30 p.m. PT, weather radar showing the storm that was over the Twentynine Palms, California and Joshua Tree, California area has broken apart into scattered pockets of light to moderate rain that appear to be heading north towards Route 66 and Interstate 40 between the desert communities of Amboy, California and Essex, California.
