News Update!!: Essex, CA: Search continues Thursday for missing hiker Barbara Thomas.

ZachNews has the latest information on the search for a missing Bullhead City, Arizona woman in the desert area in San Bernardino County, California.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, the search continues on Thursday, July 18th, 2019 for missing person, 69 years old Barbara Thomas from Bullhead City, Arizona, in the Mohave Desert.

Search and Rescue volunteers, a K9 unit, Sheriff’s Aviation and personnel from the Colorado River Station in Needles, California are continuing to search the Mohave Desert in the are of Kelbaker/Hidden Hills near the 1-40.

Search teams were deployed into the field at 5:00 a.m. PT.

Temperatures are expected to reach over 100 degrees today.

Tomorrow will mark a week since Barbara Thomas went missing on Friday, July 12th, 2019 when Barbara and her husband Robert were hiking in the Mohave desert approximately 20 miles north of the Interstate 40 east of Kelbaker Rd.

During the hike, Barbara and Robert got separated and she has not been seen since.

Barbara is 5’9, 130 lbs., Blonde hair, Green eyes and was last seen wearing a black bikini, a red baseball cap and tan hiking boots with black socks.

As the search continues husband of Barbara Thomas continues to ask for the public’s help in finding his wife and issuing a desperate plea for her to come home.

In the interview with Inside Edition, Robert Thomas talks about the day his wife vanished, and that he doesn’t think she is lost in the wilderness and believes someone abducted her.

Robert issues a desperate plea to whomever he believes may have taken her, saying, “I just want her back home.”

Robert tells Inside Edition that police consider him the prime suspect because there were just two of us.

Inside Edition asked Robert about law enforcement administering a polygraph test, which Robert tells Inside Edition, “Yes I took a polygraph test. They told me that I was being deceptive. Now I know that polygraphs aren’t hundred percent, and I had not had any sleep.”

Inside Edition asked Robert if he had anything to do with his wife’s disappearance, which Robert tells Inside Edition, “Absolutely not.”

The search continues for missing Barbara Thomas well temperatures and the winds continue to stay hot.

According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada the weather conditions in the search area will continue to remain sunny the mostly clear, with temperatures in the low-90’s all the way through the weekend, and slight chance of showers and thunderstorms may occur next week, on Tuesday and Wednesday.
