News Update!!: Essex, CA: Search continues Sunday for missing hiker Barbara Thomas.
ZachNews has the latest information on the search for a Bullhead City, Arizona woman who is missing in the desert area in San Bernardino County, California.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, the search continues on Sunday for 69 years old Barbara Thomas.

Barbara was last seen in the area of Kelbaker and Hidden Hills near the Interstate 40 near Essex, California.
The search involves numerous Search and Rescue members, deputies, K9’s, Sheriff’s Aviation (helicopter) and Park Rangers.
There have been no sightings of her at this time, and the temperatures today hovered around 104*F degrees.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at 2:30 p.m. PT on Friday, July 12th, 2019, 69 years old Barbara Thomas from Bullhead City, Arizona and her husband Robert were hiking in the Mojave Desert approximately 20 miles north of the Interstate 40 east of Kelbaker Road near Essex, California.
During the hike, Barbara and Robert got separated and she has not been seen since.
Barbara is 5’9, 130 lbs., Blonde hair, Green eyes and was last seen wearing a black bikini, a red baseball cap and tan hiking boots with black socks.
Barbara does not have any supplies or a cell phone.
