Needles, CA: Man was arrested during traffic violations stop for felon in possession of a firearm and a traffic warrant.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at 1:04 p.m. PT on Wednesday, June 26th, 2019, a man identified by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station as 46 year old David Ross, a transient from Arizona, was driving an unregistered motorcycle on the city street without a helmet and was stopped for the traffic violations at East Broadway and Smith Road in Needles, California.
During that contact, Ross was found to have an outstanding traffic warrant for driving without a license found to be carrying a firearm concealed in a pouch.
That weapon was recovered and found to be functional.
A record check revealed Ross had a prior felony conviction, making possession of the firearm a felony.
Ross was booked into the Colorado River Jail for PC30305(a), felon in possession of a firearm, with a bail amount of $50,000.00.
Additionally, he was booked for the traffic warrant that had a bail amount of $25,000.00.
