Needles, CA: Deputies arrested a resident from Apple Valley, California for possession of a stolen vehicle.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at 9:27 a.m. PT on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, deputies responded to the 500 block of Merriman Avenue in Needles, California reference a female subject in possession of a stolen vehicle.
Deputies made contact with the Fort Mohave Tribal Police.
Through investigation, it was determined the vehicle was “carjacked” in Alhambra, California on June 1, 2019, by an unknown male.
The person, identified by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station as 23 year old Mariah Hernandez from Apple Valley, California, was found to have taken possession of the vehicle in Victorville, California.
Hernandez was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Colorado River Station jail.
Hernandez is being held on $50,000 bail, pending a court hearing.
