Needles, CA: City of Needles held 2nd Annual Employee Appreciation Barbeque to thank employees.

Officials with the City of Needles held their 2nd Annual Employee Appreciation Barbeque on Saturday, April 27th, 2019 at Jack Smith Memorial Park in Needles, California.

This is the second year for this event to give thanks and appreciation to the employees who serve this community.

Board members and other departments come down and help cook, and show our appreciation to our employees.

Spotted at the gathering was Needles City Council Member Shawn Gudmundson and Needles City Council Member Zachery Longacre who was grilling up free hot dogs and cheeseburgers, Needles City Council Member Tona Belt working on the free shaved ice, and Needles City Mayor Jeff Williams, Needles City Council Member Timothy Terral, Needles Planning Commission Barbara L. Beard, Needles Cemetery Advisory Commission Wilma Baldwin, and Needles City Manager Rick Daniels were there talking to the employees and their families.

Kids as well as some adults enjoyed the water slides and bounce house that was also set up for the event.

The hope is to continued this event for employees every year and possibly put on an event for employees around the holiday season.
