Breaking News!!: Essex, CA: Multiple vehicle crashes along eastbound Interstate 40.

There are reports of at least two multiple vehicle crashes along eastbound Interstate 40 at mile makers 81,78 and 75 near Kelbaker Road just west of Essex, California.

Initial reports from the California Highway Patrol said that the first crash near mile marker 81 involved a pickup truck crashed into a FedEx truck.

Emergency crews and airships have responded.

As of 6:04 a.m. PT, San Bernardino County Fire Department reports two immediate and one delay patients, and one “EMC.” Requesting a second airship.

As of 6:28 a.m. PT, San Bernardino County Fire Department reports that no vehicle extrication and cancelled other responding units; they can handle. A patient is being transported by ambulance.

As of 6:47 a.m. PT, San Bernardino County Fire Department reports that second airship has arrived to the incident.

As of 7:00 a.m. PT, San Bernardino County Fire Department reports that command at first crash is done, firefighters at second crash reports two semi trucks crashed.

California Highway Patrol said that second crash, a rear end crash, that involves two semi trucks down just down the way near mile marker 78.

As of 7:10 a.m. PT, San Bernardino County Fire Department reports that second crash has three delayed, no hazards.

As of 8:25 a.m. PT, reports of a third crash reported of a semi truck over the side of the roadway near mile marker 75.

As of 8:32 a.m. PT, San Bernardino County Fire Department reports single vehicle, did not roll over and to continue ambulance.

As of 8:35 a.m. PT, San Bernardino County Fire Department reports single vehicle crash at mile marker 75 is non injury.

Traffic is reported in the area of the crashes.
