The Needles Regional Museum presented The Life of a Teacher at Fort Mojave Indian School on Thursday, April 4th, 2019 inside the El Garces Train Depot in Downtown Needles, California.

ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez was broadcasting live on Facebook at the event as people filled the community room of the El Garces Train Depot.

Ron Ross, the grandson of Clarence Jenkins and Minnie Braithwaite Jenkins, shared Minnie’s story and photographs of Fort Mojave Indian School during her tenure there from 1902-1906.

Afterwards, people got to purchase signed books from Ron, win raffle prizes including wonderful painted pictures of old Downtown Needles, California, and enjoyed tasty dessert that were served.
