Downtown Needles, CA: Deputies arrested two suspects after being located inside a stolen vehicle.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at 12:02 p.m. PT on Saturday, February 2nd, 2019, deputies were alerted to a stolen vehicle in the area of North K Street and Needles Highway.
Deputies began conducting an area check and located the vehicle on the 200 block of J Street, in Downtown Needles.
The vehicle was found to be occupied by 35 year old Adolfo Torres from Hesperia, California and 30 year old Josuph R. Richmond from Mohave Valley, Arizona.
A felony traffic stop was conducted and both Torres and Richmond were taken into custody without incident.
Both were transported to the Colorado River Station for booking.
Adolfo Torres, was found to be on active Post Release Community Supervision, and was booked for grand theft auto, possession of a stolen vehicle, as well as a no bail probation violation.
Torres is currently being held without bond, pending a court hearing.
Richmond was booked for possession of stolen property and is currently being held on $50,000 bail, pending a court hearing.
