Needles, CA: North Houston Pole Line crews heading home for Christmas from rebuilding power infrastructure devastated by the Camp Fire stopped in Needles, California.

North Houston Pole Line crews heading home for Christmas stopped into Needles, California on the morning of Tuesday, December 18th, 2018.

The fleets of utility trucks and crews from Houston, Texas were coming back from rebuilding damaged power infrastructure from a devastating Camp Fire in Paradise, California.

Many of the utility line workers left their homes the day after Thanksgiving Day to help with the fire disaster in Paradise, California, staying with other utility line workers and working from sun up till sundown.

The fire named the “Camp Fire”, which started at around 6:29am PT on Thursday, November 8th, 2018, destroyed nearly 14,000 homes and left at least 85 people dead.

Only about 5% of Paradise, California survived the fires, but the rebuilding process has begun thanks to the many people who answered the call to help rebuild their community from the ashes of the fire and restore power infrastructures for the community so that services call open again.

Road weary and eager to get home to their families, utility line workers from North Houston Pole Line headed off down Interstate 40.

Godspeed, safe travels and thank you to all of the utility line workers and everybody who are helping the people of Paradise, California rebuild from the devastating Camp Fire.
