Presentation to Joseph Garcia for volunteering thirty plus years with youth sports.

Joseph Garcia received a plaque from the City of Needles during the Needles City Council Meeting in Needles, California on Tuesday, December 11th, 2018 for volunteering thirty plus years with youth sports.

Joseph Garcia, also known as Jose M. Garcia or by his friends as “Jo”, volunteered in many youth sports, including coaching, scorekeeper and being the umpire at kids softball, baseball and flag football games at the Needles Recreation Center; being there to teach the youth about sports and how to be a good person in our community.

ZachNews spoke to Joseph Garcia after receiving the plaque from the City of Needles.

Joseph Garcia also volunteers throughout the community he loves, including giving out food to those in need at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop; volunteers to help setting up at community events and being a member of the chain crew during home games from the Needles Mustangs at Needles High School.
