According to the United States Geological Survey, a magnitude 4.2 earthquake hit in the Trona, California area, about 57 miles north of Barstow, California.

Shaking was felt as far away as the Antelope Valley, California, Mojave Desert, California and Las Vegas, Nevada.

The earthquake occurred at around 1:40pm PT on Wednesday, December 5th, 2018.

At this moment, there were no immediate reports of any damage or injuries.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, In July 2018, an investigation of lewd acts with a child under 14 years old was initiated by deputies at the Colorado River Station, involving an 11 year old female victim.

Detectives assumed the investigation that led to the contact with the suspect, 50 year old Michael Anthony Smith of Havasu Lake, California.

On December 4, 2018, Smith was interviewed and subsequently arrested PC 288(a) Lewd Act with a Child. 

Smith was booked at the West Valley Detention Center with a $250,000 bail.

A Needles Planning Commission Meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 5th, 2018 inside the Needles City Council Chambers located off the J Street, next to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station sign and flag pole, at the Needles Civic Center located at 1111 Bailey Avenue in Needles, California.

Parking is located around the Needles Civic Center just off of J Street near the Needles Recreation Center or just off of Bailey Avenue near the San Bernardino County Needles Branch Library building.

The Needles Planning Commission Meeting will start at 4:00pm PT.

Former United States President George H.W. Bush died at the age of 94 years old on the night of Friday, November 30th, 2018 at his home in Houston, Texas.

According to the United States Postal Service, United States of America President Donald Trump has declared Wednesday a “National Day of Mourning” in remembrance of former United States President George H.W. Bush.

George H.W. Bush died at the age of 94 years old on the night of Friday, November 30th, 2018 at his home in Houston, Texas.

His death was announced by his office and came less than eight months after his wife, Barbara Bush died.

Before their passing, George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush were married for 73 years.

According to the United States Postal Service, we will limit package delivery service that day to ensure the network remains fluid in package deliveries.

The United States Postal Service added that the decision for limited deliveries is to not have any impacts that will negatively affect customers during the remainder of the holiday season.
