Breaking News!!: Needles, CA: Kid on a bicycle and not in crosswalk was hit by a vehicle on Bailey Avenue.

A kid on a bicycle was hit by a vehicle along Bailey Avenue near Erin Drive in Needles California at around 3:10pm PT on Tuesday, November 27th, 2018.

Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station where on scene as ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez arrived.

Firefighters from the San Bernardino County Fire Department’s Station 32 and paramedics from Baker Emergency Medical Services arrived seconds after ZachNews arrived.

After checking the boy out, firefighters from the San Bernardino County Fire Department’s Station 32 left to another emergency well paramedics continued to check on the boy and deputies continued talking to the boy as officials from the Needles Unified School District and City of Needles arrived.

As few minutes later, paramedics from Baker Emergency Medical Services left well deputies and school officials remained at the location with the boy.

ZachNews has learned from officials that the kid was scratched up a bit following the collision, and that the boy was not in the crosswalk at the time of the collision with the vehicle, a white car.

The driver in white car did stopped after the collision, and was shaken up from what happened as she was talking with deputies.
