During the hearing on this agenda item, there was a long back and forth discussion regarding marijuana tax refund for cannabis businesses opening and operating new non-cannabis businesses from members of the Needles City Council as well as the public during public comments who spoke for and against the tax refund.

At the end of discussion and public comments, members of the Needles City Council unanimously voted to make a subcommittee made up of councilors Needles City Council Member Clayton Hazlewood, Needles City Council Member Shawn Gudmundson and Needles City Council Member Tona Belt to further explore the refund and give monthly updates on their progress.
