Multiple people are dead in a crash involving a Greyhound passenger bus and a semi truck along westbound Interstate 40 near Thoreau, New Mexico.
The crash occurred round 1:00pm MST on Thursday, August 30th, 2018.

Law enforcement officers, fire department crews and EMS are on scene of the crash.
According to the New Mexico State Police, at least 7 people are confirmed dead in this crash.
Greyhound officials said Greyhound Route 1333 was heading through New Mexico heading west towards Arizona with 50 people on board when the crash occurred.
Greyhound Route 1333 began in St. Louis, Missouri, and was scheduled to stop in Flagstaff, Arizona; Glendale, Arizona; Phoenix, Arizona; Blythe, California; Indio, California; San Bernardino, California, and Downtown Los Angeles, California, which is the final stop.
The Gallup Indian Medical Center reports that they’ve received approximately 37 patients; their injuries included bone fractures and liver lacerations.
UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico reports they were expecting to receive 6 patients, including 3 patients of whom are in critical condition.
