Weather radar from NBC affiliate KNBC Channel 4 shows the scattered storms overnight have either lost strength or dissipated.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible throughout the rest of Thursday so be on watch and enjoy your Thursday.

** As of 6:29am PT on Thursday, August 16th, 2018: **

According to Caltrans District 8, U.S. Route 95 is reopened.

** As of 4:20am PT on Thursday, August 16th, 2018: **

Weather radar from NBC affiliate KNBC Channel 4 shows the scattered storms that was earlier near Desert Hills, Arizona have left the area, but more storms have continue to flow across the Colorado River just south of Lake Havasu City, Arizona moving into Parker, Arizona and Vidal, Junction California.

People living in the Parker, Arizona and Vidal Junction, California area should watch for any flooding, especially along roadways and highways.

If lightning is going on outside, get inside a safe building.

Weather radar from NBC affiliate KNBC Channel 4 shows the scattered storms that was earlier near Lake Havasu City, Arizona is over Desert Hills, Arizona and is beginning to get near the Topock, Arizona and Golden Shores, Arizona area.

The storms are just south of Topock, Arizona; Golden Shores, Arizona and Yucca, Arizona.

People living in the Topock, Arizona; Golden Shores, Arizona and Yucca, Arizona area should be on alert and prepared in case the storm heads towards your area. Stay away from flooded roadways.

People living in the Needles, California and Mohave Valley, Arizona area should be on watch and prepared in case the storm heads towards your area.

Reports from the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada and Caltrans that there’s “significant flash flooding” along U.S. Route 95 between mile marker 15 and mile marker 25 in San Bernardino County, California. Caltrans crews are closing this portion this of the roadway because of the flooding and unsafe travel conditions. Please use alternate routes.

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 3:00am PT for the Rice, California area, west of Vidal Junction, California.

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada has posted on their official Twitter page that heavy rainfall associated with a complex of storms will lead to flooding across Highway 62 in southeastern San Bernardino County. TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN.

Weather radar from NBC affiliate KNBC Channel 4 shows the scattered storms that was earlier over Lake Havasu City, Arizona approaching U.S. Route 95 between Vidal Junction, California and Needles, California. Please watch for flooding if you’re driving along U.S. Route 95. Be on watch in case the storm heads towards your area and be prepared in case if any storm related problems.

Weather radar from NBC affiliate KNBC Channel 4 shows the scattered storms that was earlier over Lake Havasu City, Arizona approaching the Havasu Landing, California; Havasu Lake, California and Big River, California areas and near Vidal Junction, California area.

The stoms are approaching U.S. Route 95 between Vidal Junction, California and Needles, California and California State Route 62 west of Vidal Junction, California.

Please watch for flooding if you’re driving along U.S. Route 95 and California State Route 62.

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 3:00am PT for the Earp, California; Vidal Junction, California; and Parker Dam, California area.

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada has posted on their official Twitter page that strong storms that are producing very heavy rainfall have moved west of the Colorado River into San Bernardino County, California. Areas at risk for flash flooding include Earp, California; Vidal Junction, California; Parker Dam, California and parts of U.S. Route 95. TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN.

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada has issued a Flash Flood Warning until 3:00am MST/PT for the Vidal Junction, California area.

** As of 11:01pm PT: **

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada has issued a Flash Flood Warning until 2:00am MST/PT for the Lake Havasu City, Arizona and Parker, Arizona Dam area.

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada has posted on their official Twitter page that strong storms moving west toward Lake Havasu City and Parker Dam are producing very heavy rainfall and gusty winds. Flash flooding is expected with these storms. TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN.

Weather radar from NBC affiliate KNBC Channel 4 shows scattered storms east and southeast of Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Storms appears to be moving west towards the Colorado River area.

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada posted on their official Twitter page that thunderstorms moving in from the east to Lake Havasu and Parker Dam by 11 :00pm. Gusty east winds to 35 mph will likely precede the storms.

Please make sure to watch for any flooding along roadways where dry creeks, washes or channels cross, and be prepared in case of any storm related problems.
