According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Havasu, Arizona saw a pretty significant monsoon over the lake. This caused chaos along our waterways, and our Deputies assisted several boaters throughout the storm.

Although the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office didn’t investigate any serious calls during the storm, deputies along with River Medical Paramedics who were on board patrol vessels responded to the Nautical Docks for a traumatic injury, which was handled by the Lake Havasu City Police Department.

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Division of Boating Safety contacted numerous boaters throughout the week for various violations and provided education along with enforcement.

Our Deputies, along with the River Medical Paramedics, responded to several medical assists throughout the week.

During every call, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Division of Boating Safety Deputies and the River Medical Paramedics who were on board of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Patrol vessels were first on scene, and provided medical aid in an expeditious fashion.

During this time period, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office actively participated in Operation Dry Water, a national awareness and enforcement campaign focused on reducing the number of alcohol – and drug- related crashes and fatalities and fostering a stronger, more visible deterrent to alcohol and drug use on the water.

Operation Dry Water is coordinated by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA), in partnership with the United States Coast Guard as well as local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
