Authorities have identified the boy who died on Tuesday, July 3rd, 2018 following an apparent drowning at Cabinsite Cove in the Lake Mohave, Arizona area.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office confirmed on Thursday, July 5th, 2018 the identity of the as 16 year old Jonathon Gabriel James from Imperial Beach, California.
According to the Lake Mead National Recreation Area Spokesperson Christie Vanover, the death is being investigated as a possible drowning.

At around 6:30pm PT Tuesday, park rangers were notified that Jonathon Gabriel James had disappeared underwater while swimming in the area of Cabinsite Cove.
Jonathon Gabriel James was brought to shore by other people and treated by fire department paramedics from Bullhead City, Arizona, before he pronounced dead at a hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The investigation continues.
