The suspect wanted for stabbing of a woman at the River Gardens Apartments in Needles, California in December 2017 was arrested in Oklahoma.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, after a nationwide search, Jerry Endsley was located and arrested by the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Department in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
On Wednesday, June 20, 2018, detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Specialized Enforcement Division flew to Tulsa, Oklahoma and took custody of Endsley. He was then extradited to California and booked at the West Valley Detention Center on attempted murder charges and several outstanding warrants. Endsley has a no-bail hold and is pending court proceedings.
Endsley was discovered to be on supervised probation for a previous felony spousal abuse conviction as a result of California Ass embly Bill 109.
As part of Governor Jerry Brown’s Realignment Plan, or Assembly Bill 109, to comply with a U.S. Supreme Court decision requiring the state to lower its prison population by 30,000; offenders of non-violent, non-sexual and non-serious convictions will serve reduced sentences in county jails and be placed on local supervision through county Probation.

A woman was stabbed at the River Gardens Apartments, located at 1970 Clary Drive, in Needles, California before 6:00pm PT on Wednesday, December 6th, 2017.

According to a press release the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station released at 8:40am PT on Friday, December 8th, 2017, deputies were dispatched to a report of a stabbing at the apartment complex in Needles, California.
The investigation revealed that 38 year old Jerry Paul Endsley from Needles, California contacted the victim in the front door of her apartment demanding to see his child.
When he was denied entry into the home, Jerry Endsley forced his way into the apartment and stabbed the victim multiple times with an unknown stabbing instrument.
The victim suffered multiple stab wounds to her head, arms, and legs.
Jerry Endsley ran from the scene prior to the arrival of the deputies.
The victim was transported to the Colorado River Medical Center and treated for he r injuries.
An extensive search for Jerry Endsley was conducted at several locations throughout Needles, California with negative results.
