News Update!!: Mohave Valley, AZ: Vegetation fire is under control and burned out.

A vegetation fire that was burning near a canal south of Plantation Road, southeast of Mountain View, in Mohave Valley, Arizona is under control and out.

ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez was there throughout the morning reporting on the vegetation fire and captured on camera firefighters watering down the burn area and searching the area for any hot spots.

The vegetation fire began on Bureau of Land Management land near a canal that empties out into the Colorado River, and just across from water pumps known as Vanderslice water pumps.

Earlier, firefighters had trouble gaining access to the area, but as morning arrived firefighters were able to safely gain access to the burn area.

Firefighters and hand crews will be on scene all day mopping up the area and making sure that there are no flare ups.

Crews from the Aha Macav Power Service were spotted checking near by power lines after watching the live broadcast on ZachNews of the vegetation fire and wanted to check if on the poles and power lines.

From what appears, no power poles or power lines were damaged in the vegetation fire.

Cooler early morning conditions and firefighters kept the fire from not gain more thicker and dry vegetation.

Firefighters saying that the vegetation fire eventually burn on top of already burned vegetation and burned out.

The cause of the vegetation fire is under investigation.
