The Bullhead City Police Department Chief Brian Williamson has confirmed that the body of a male juvenile discovered in the Colorado River is missing Jeremy Duncan.

An official news conference with Bullhead City Police Department Chief Brian Williamson was held at 10:00am MST on Sunday, June 3rd, 2018 at the Bullhead City Council Chambers announcing the sad news.
“Today at 7:13am, a person in a kayak near Palo Verde Marina reported what they thought to be a body. The Bullhead City Police Department’s Dive Team along with the Bullhead City Police Department boat responded to the area to confirm the identity and recover the body. The body was then turned over to the Mohave County Corner’s Office accompanying by Bullhead City Detectives with the FBI, a medical examiner, a forensic specialist and the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the area. Lieutenant Sessions, Community Services Officer Lorrie Duggins responded to the home and met with the family of Jeremy,” said Bullhead City Police Department Chief Brian Williamson.

According to the Bullhead City Police Department, 8 year old Jeremy Duncan (Seen In Picture) went missing at 9:00am MST on Saturday, June 2nd, 2018 near his home along the 2000 block of White Sands Drive in Bullhead City, Arizona.
Jeremy Duncan was described as a white male juvenile, 8 years old, 4’, 63 pounds, brown eyes and curly brown hair, and was last seen wearing neon green shorts with a stripe, no shirt and no shoes.
According to the Bullhead City Police Department, Jeremy Duncan is autistic – non-verbal.

Thousands of volunteers along with both city and county law enforcement and search teams searched the area near his home all day on Saturday as flyers and electronic billboard signs alerted motorists about the missing boy.
Early Sunday morning, volunteers began gathering at the Bullhead City Council Chambers in Bullhead City, Arizona at 7:00am MST to help search for the missing boy.
At 8:06am MST, this posting on Bullhead City, Arizona, Government stated that, “Bullhead City (Ariz.) – June 3, 2018 – Approximately 7:13 am, a body of a male juvenile matching the description of Jeremy Duncan was located in the Colorado River south of Rotary Park. The Bullhead City Police Department is on scene along with the Mohave County Sheriff’s Department. Chief Brian Williamson will provide an updated briefing in the Bullhead City Council Chambers at 10 am.”
Volunteers and the community are in mourning for the lost of Jeremy Duncan.
Bullhead City Police Department Chief Brian Williamson, Mohave County Sheriff’s Doug Schuster and Bullhead City Mayor Brady offered their condolences to Jeremy Duncan’s family and thanked members of agencies that assisted in the search for the boy as well as the roughly 1,000 volunteers who were helping to find him.
“I would really like to commended the community. As a police department and as a community, our heart is broken. This of course this is not how we wanted this to end. The community stood up to stand by each other and they stood up to stand by the police department as this community does every time we’re in crisis. From the bottom of my heart, on behalf of the Bullhead City Police Department, I would like to thank all of those volunteers that came out and worked tirelessly to try to bring Jeremy home well. I would like to also thank many businesses that took it a pond themselves to keep our operation running and to keep people fueled and hydrated. These are tough situations, but through these tough situations, we see this community out do themselves every time and that makes us proud,” said Bullhead City Police Department Chief Brian Williamson.
A candlelight vigil for Jeremy Duncan is scheduled for 7:00pm MST on Sunday, June 3rd, 2018 at Rotary Park, located at 2315 Balboa Drive, near Riverview Drive, in Bullhead City, Arizona.
People planning to attend the candlelight vigil are encouraged to wear blue in remembrance of Jeremy Duncan.
The Bullhead City Police Department and the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the case and at this moment, authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding Jeremy Duncan’s death.
