Captain Ross Tarangle with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station reported on the 2017 Annual Crime Statistics and the 2018-2019 Sheriff’s Services for the Needles, California area, showing all of the incidents deputies responded to in and around Needles, California.

Captain Ross Tarangle also promoted their Twitter page, @CORiverStation, where the public can get the latest information from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station including press releases that list names of who were arrested as well as where the incidents occurred.

The presentation also included the Schedule A – Law Enforcement Service Contract for the City of Needles for 20018-2019 that shows the amount of money being spent on what in the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station.

When asked about if there was any other way to fund for a school resource officer at our school, Captain Ross Tarangle said, “Well I think with our meetings with the school, unfortunately there wasn’t enough funding on both ends to be able to accomplish that; we would love to have a school resource officer, I think it’s a really valuable resource and it also frees up the city’s deputies so they don’t have to go to the school to handle issues – so that’s a win win on both sides, but from my understanding that of the last meeting that there wasn’t gonna be any funds for all that.”

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department John McMahon made a surprise trip to Needles, California to speak to members of the Needles City Council, and to show support of all of the deputies who served in the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and their work they do in the community.
