News Update!!: Bullhead City, AZ: Apartment building fire on East Marble Canyon Drive.

Firefighters from multiple agencies responded to a reported fire at an apartment building located at 1690 East Marble Canyon Drive in Bullhead City, Arizona on Sunday, March 25th, 2018.

Firefighters from Bullhead City Fire Department, Fort Mojave Mesa Fire Department, and Clark County Fire Department in Laughlin, Nevada were called to the apartment building fire that started at around 2:15pm PT.

Firefighters arrived to thick black smoke and tall flames shooting up from the 2 story apartment building, and began battling the fire.

According to the Bullhead City Fire Department, occupants in 8 apartment units were affected by the fire, and of the 8 apartment units, 2 apartment units were severely burned and at least 4 other apartment units were affected by smoke.

Pictures sent into ZachNews from Wyatt Caldwell showed the aftermath at an apartment building fire.

Firefighters also had to shut off utilities as they were battling the flames.

Volunteers with the Community Emergency Response Team and representatives from the American Red Cross are assisting residents who were affected by the apartment building fire and help displaced residents find temporary accommodations.

According to the Bullhead City Fire Department, residents were all evaluated and nobody was injured.

Well firefighters were battling the fire, a cat that was having breathing problems was found.

ZachNews learned that the cat that was found was Wyatt Caldwell’s cat.

“My cat was having breathing problems and was transported to The Humane Society for treatment and I heard the cat is in stable condition and I can go pick her up in a couple of days,” Wyatt Caldwell tells ZachNews.

ZachNews also learned that one of Wyatt’s birds died and that Wyatt’s apartment has a lot of smoke damage.

Wyatt Caldwell tells ZachNews that his family won’t be able to sleep at their home for the next few days and possibly longer.

“Myself and my wife and baby cannot sleep at our house tonight or tomorrow and possibly longer,” Wyatt Caldwell tells ZachNews.

Fire investigator was called as began clearing fire department crews from the scene at around 5:18pm PT.

The cause of the apartment building fire is under investigation, but investigators say the source of ignition may have occurred on the ground floor of the apartment building.

ZachNews sends our prayers for a speedy recovery to Wyatt’s cat and hope that everybody affected by the apartment building fire will have the community’s love and support as they rebuild.
