Downtown Needles, CA: Police pursuit of a blue Toyota Venza ends with a person arrested.
Just 22 hours after a police pursuit raced throughout Needles, California, the California Highway Patrol tells ZachNews that there was another police pursuit that occurred in the Downtown Needles, California area.
According to the California Highway Patrol, at approximately 1:21am PT on Friday, March 16th, 2018, officers with the California Highway Patrol attempted to make an enforcement stop on a blue Toyota Venza near the area of D Street and Third Street.
A pursuit ensued with the subject vehicle running multiple stop signs and reached speeds in excess of 70 mph through a residential area.
The vehicle came to a stop in front of a residence in Needles, California.
The 3 occupants fled the vehicle into the residence.
California Highway Patrol Officers attempted to make contact with the occupants but the residents of the house refused entry.
A search warrant was obtained and the 3 occupants were detained.
According to the California Highway Patrol, 23 year old Kevin Alexander Campbell was determined to be the driver during the pursuit and was also found to be driving while under the influence of alcohol.
Kevin Alexander Campbell was, subsequently, and booked at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station Jail.
The latest police pursuit comes after deputies with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station were in a police pursuit of a teenage male in a stolen vehicle that began at 4:15am PT on Thursday, March 15th, 2018 and ended in a crash near the Park Moabi Road off-ramp.
