News Alert!!: Kingman, AZ: Bodycam video released from officer involved shooting at the Zuni Village R.V. Park.

According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 8:15pm MST on Saturday, February 10th, 2018, Kingman Police Department Officers were called in reference a possible domestic disturbance at the Zuni Village RV Park, located at 2840 Airway Avenue, in Kingman, Arizona.

The initial caller reported hearing yelling from a nearby RV space.

When officers arrived, a male from inside the travel trailer yelled at Officers to leave.

The male was identified as Michael Weber, 63 years old, of Kingman, AZ.

Bodycam video from the Kingman Police Department, that was released in the press release by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, show the incident.

A Kingman Police Department Officer identified himself and requested the male exit the travel trailer with his hands visible.

Michael exited the travel trailer carrying a semi-automatic pistol in his right hand.

Michael did not comply with several commands and was shot by one officer.

The officer involved is identified as Jace Reif, a 7 year law enforcement veteran, the last 2 years with Kingman Police Department.

Personnel attempted life saving techniques on scene.

According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, the adult male died following an officer involved shooting.

No officers or bystanders were hurt in the incident.

This investigation is active and ongoing, and further information will be released as the investigation continues.

ZachNews contacted the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office regarding the time and date on the bodycam video.

The press release states that the incident occurred at approximately 8:15pm MST on Saturday, February 10th, 2018, but the bodycam video shows the time as “3:31:03” and the date as “2018-02-11” (Sunday, February 11th, 2018).

According to an email from Susan Callahan, Public Information Officer with the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, “I was able to confirm that the date on the video is incorrect. The incident DID occur on Saturday 02/10/18, as listed in the press release.
